After learning that his five year old son was having nightmares caused by a Frost Giant attack on the palace several months previous, Loki and his wife Juliet set out to find and retrieve the Reverie Blade, a dagger with the ability to allow the user to dreamwalk, and kill the source of the nightmares, thus stopping the nightmares from returning. The dagger was on a realm that had long-since been abandoned, and after much debate, Loki headed there, along with his five month's pregnant wife. Once arriving, the couple headed into the first cave they found, and Juliet's usage of magic triggered Loki's trauma from being tortured by Thanos. While heading through the cave, he explained this to her, and then quickly changed the subject once the dagger was found. The Reverie Blade, however, could only be taken from its home world by those who are pure of heart and intention, and Loki was forced to allow Juliet to take the blade, rather than doing it himself. Once retrieved, Juliet handed the dagger to Loki, and the couple began their way out of the cave.
Upon reaching the mouth of the cave, Loki sensed a change in the magical atmosphere around them, and instructed Juliet to stay back as he checked outside of the cave. Much to his shock and terror, the guardian bird of the Reverie Blade, the Zapharoida, was alive and well, and he barely dodged an attack from it. Panicked, he questioned his wife, and Juliet reassured him that she'd read the Zapharoida had been slain centuries ago, but also listed a way to kill it. The planet's surface was mostly lakes and mountains, and the Zapharoida's power was electricity, so Juliet instructed Loki to get it near the lakes, so that it'd temporarily short circuit. He attempted to do this via a projection of himself, and nearly succeeded, but a surge in the cave's magic caused his own to falter, and the Zapharoida to attack. In his attempts to avoid the bird's attack, the Reverie Blade was dropped, and Juliet retrieved it in order to defend Loki. With the dagger once again in the hands of the pure of heart, the Zapharoida backed off, and Loki and Juliet were able to return to Asgard, where Loki used the Reverie Blade to enter Aleks' nightmares, and get them to stop.
